As a distance learning university does not need to meet quotas on what races or genders must attend, anyone is welcomed. Racism or sexism is unheard of in these institutions as almost all individuals work independently of one another. This allows minorities to get the education that they need.
Finally, taking advantage of a distance learning university is cheaper than the standard university degree. This is due to the fact that a professor does not need to hold lectures several times a week. They provide all of the course material you need and make themselves available to assist you with things that you do not understand. This significantly cuts out the time investment the professor needs to make, allowing him or her to address more students in a timely fashion.
